Children’s Chair Project
Prior to Chair Affair, local artists transform castoff chairs into beautiful, creative works of art. Businesses and individuals are invited to sponsor children’s chairs for $500 each. This project supports our mission, while centering the dignity, autonomy, and joy of our littlest furniture bank visitors.
The whimsical chairs will be displayed at Chair Affair for guests to view and enjoy. After the event, the chairs will return to our Warehouses, where children visiting the furniture bank with their family can pick out their very own one-of-a-kind chair.

Together, we made it happen!
Chair Affair ’24 was a night to remember! We exceeded our goal and raised over $260,000! We proved that together, we can help create the memories, the homes, the community, and the future we all hope to have. We were touched by amazing testimonials, enlivened by full-circle stories, and inspired by impactful calls to action. We came together to celebrate, honor, and support our community and all the special folks in it- our neighbors. Read more about last year’s event here.

Meet Chair Affair 2025’s special guest Saleam. Saleam is a local artist and a former Community Warehouse client.
“When I went there to pick out my furniture from Community Warehouse, it still felt like a dream. For random strangers to want to help me from being at my worst stage in life—it was kind of weird, actually. But it definitely was a wonderful feeling. Words can’t express how grateful I am to come across such good people.” -Saleam

Chair Affair is so much fun for me. It really has touched my life in ways I can’t express, but mostly it lends credibility to my struggle to emerge as an artist (art school after 50 ain’t easy). PLUS, it’s all for Community Warehouse and the work that you do is important to our community.”
