Ed Kitson

Ed Kitson is a staff member of the Community Warehouse, responsible for fundraising sales of antique, vintage, and retro furniture, and collectibles. He has great respect for the efforts of the multitude of anonymous artisans and craftsperson’s whose fine works he sees everyday at the Warehouse.

Prior to his tenure at the Warehouse, Ed spent 15 years studying and practicing archaeology; primarily in Northeastern North America with additional work in the Pacific Northwest. He is a specialist in the use, manufacture, and analysis of stone tools with an understanding of soils found in archaeological environments. Ed is additionally fascinated by the dynamic relationship between technology, human culture and history.

Combining interests in technology, language, and his temperament as a bibliophile, Ed has studied ancient and medieval bookbinding techniques. He hopes to combine these influences with his facilities as an adept scavenger and a dedicated improviser for the Chair Affair.
