| Lorna Nakell
Lorna Nakell was born in Carriacou, Grenada but spent most of her youth in Southern Oregon. After receiving her BFA from Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle, WA she spent eleven years there with involvement in the arts community as an exhibiting artist, curator and teacher. Lorna has lived in Portland now for six years. Her lush and colorful mixed media paintings were originally inspired by her toddler son’s finger paintings. The imagery for her work is derived from her interests in poetry, nature, music, childhood and myths. Lorna is currently represented by Beppu Wiarda Gallery in Portland, OR.
