| Cathy Pitters
Cathy Pitters is a mom, artist and seamstress who lives is North Portland with her husband, 10 year old son and two cats. She runs her business, BossaNovaBaby.com, out of her flamingo pink craft bunker and co-organizes Crafty Wonderland, a monthly art & craft event at the Doug Fir Lounge. She is also one forth of the women’s collective PDX Super Crafty, who recently wrote a how-to craft book entitled Super Crafty. In her spare time, Cathy can be found digging for treasure at thrift stores and drinking coffee.
Two years ago Cathy treated herself to a Japanese Gocco screen-printing machine and her life hasn’t been the same since. Inspired by vintage western wear, she combines screen-printing with hand guided machine stitching to create textural designs on sweaters, skirts and the occasional chair.
