Cathy Rae Smith, designer of decorative arts, fashions works that span from unique chandeliers to fine jewelry, from reverse glass paintings to commissioned iconic portraiture, utilizing gold leaf in much of her work. She also founded Culture, The Lifestyle Magazine, in the year 2000, which profiles celebrity creatives and distinctive personal spaces, ranging from Coco Chanel to Dale Chihuly. Now an online publication, she serves as its editor in chief and design director. She has studied sculpture, art design, history of furniture and communication at Marylhurst University. Her love of travel has fueled her independent study of international style, with an emphasis on classical European elegance. Her mission is to have a hand and a voice in bringing beauty to the world.
