Marian Evensen

A native from Portland, Marian received a B.S. and Master in Art Education from Portland State University. In the ‘70s and ‘80s she traveled the world singing with The New Oregon Singers. She taught in the North Clackamas School District and became Art Department Chairman/art teacher at Rowe Junior High. Marian retired in 2002 after thirty years of teaching classes such as drawing, painting, calligraphy, graphic design, art history, and ceramics. She’s married to Clint Evensen and has two sons, Andres and Matthew.

Marian continues to experiment in different art media and create commissioned art work (graphic designs; fabric designs; stage set designs; painted and ceramic tile murals; magazine, cookbook and book cover illustrations; and jewelry designs). She has shown and sold art work at the Mt. Tabor Art Walk and the Lake Oswego Festival of the Arts.
