Ed and Donna LaPlante

In 1984, Donna and Ed made the move from Phoenix, Arizona to the Portland area. Wanting to work together, they decided to open and operate their own sign and graphics business. Donna, a computer analyst, had an eye for color, composition and computer skills; Ed, a salesman, had sales and people skills. With no prior experience they took their “dive in and figure it out” attitude and, twenty-three years later, they continue to operate the sign business while expanding their own creative outlets to include fused glass, welding, metalworking and sandblasting.

After reading an article about the Community Warehouse giving hope and a fresh start to families in need Ed and Donna offered their sign and graphic services to the non profit. Therefore, when the Chair Affair benefit was announced, Ed jumped at the chance to support the cause.
