Ann Munson
I’m Ann Munson and I’ve been an artist for a long long time.
Throughout my life I’ve explored many mediums to express my
love and interest in animals and plants. I graduated with an
art degree from U of O and taught awhile then I produced stained
glass for galleries, art shows and commissions. My next adventure
was in colored pencil drawing. I showed in the same galleries
and had several successful posters published. In 1990 my husband
and I started a business together, Enthuse Design. It originally
featured lazer cut steel garden items in the shapes of animals.
This endeavor supported us for 15 years and took us to all
the major gift shows around the country. We sold to shops and
catalogues all over. Eventually it took us to China where I
had the privilege to collaborate with women artists in small
villages. In the years since we closed Enthuse Design, I have
explored paste paper and collage and transparent acrylics.
At the same time I built a commercial sized greenhouse where
I propagate plants and make concrete sculpture. I have no idea
what medium my chair affair chair will end up in but I’m very
excited to have the challenge!
