Nell Simkoff: Born 1950, Evanston, Ill.

Art an abiding interest from an early age.

B.A., history, Northwestern U. 1972

Several years of teaching high school Social Studies ensued.

Moved to Oregon in 1979 with husband's acceptance to cardiology fellowship at OHSU.

Raised four boys in Portland.

Took classes in drawing and painting at OCAC and PNCA.

Continue to draw and paint despite a pathologically slothful nature which limits.

Media used range across the spectrum due to a serious addiction to art supplies.

Works donated to charitable auctions have all sold.
