Ellen Walkley
After obtaining an PhD in English from UC Berkeley, Ellen Walkley decided to move from an abstract consideration of words to the concrete. To that end, she has created a series of Poetry Chairs, using such inspirations as Wallace Stevens' Thirteen Ways of Looking at a Blackbird and Samuel Coleridge's Rime of the Ancient Mariner. Her contribution to the Chair Affair, Paradise Lost and Found, is inspired by Milton's Paradise Lost.
