Stefan Wolf

I was born and raised in Oregon, living both on the coast and in the southern part of the state. Portland has been my home since July of 2008. Currently I am a student at PSU. Growing up in the north west, in an outdoorsy family fostered in me a love of nature. This has always been a source of inspiration. The other things that drive me artistically are my spiritual upbringing, my love of literature and aviation, and an imagination refined through years of being a 'weird art kid'. At a young age I began to draw and I haven't quit since. The most pleasurable form of art for me has always been drawing. This chair marks for me the first real attempt at anything resembling sculpture or three dimensional art. The project itself draws on my fondness for design, woodwork, and my experience working out of doors (in the country). Vision for the design came as part of ongoing contemplation of freedom.
