2009 CHAIR AFFAIR

Thanks to our bidders generosity, $90,000 was raised at the 2009 Chair Affair, which supports the Community Warehouse. Over 80 local artists transformed ordinary chairs from the Warehouse's donated inventory into unique works of art. The sold-out 2009 benefit-held at the Staver Locomotive building in Northwest Portland-was attended by 425 guests, who placed silent auction bids on the chair-inspired artwork, and spirited live auction bids on deluxe gift packages.

The Community Warehouse works in partnership with over 80 local nonprofit and social service agencies to collect furniture and household items for local families. Funds raised at the event will go to assist almost 700 families in need of housing and furniture in the community.
