Barbara Hart
Barbara Hart is an artists' advocate, art consultant, and Portland Art Museum docent. She majored in art and art history in Southern California, and spent much of her time visiting galleries and museums while living in Los Angeles. After moving to the Portland area in 2005, Barbara discovered the active art scene, and began working closely with with artists and art lovers. This is her second year as a volunteer artist for The Chair Affair.
The inspiration for this wooden dog leash holder came from Barbara’s work with her dog, Charlie, a flat-coated retriever mix. Finding there was less and less space for Charlie’s growing collection of leashes, collars, toys, and pooh bags, she took this wall coat holder, and turned it into a useful and convenient space to hold most canine goodies.
