Kim LakinTrained in fine arts and art history, I currently work as a full-time artist. My medium of choice has been fabric. Recently I have been doing drawings and collages as well. I am deeply influenced by the study of symmetry in nature, proportion in architecture, and pattern across cultures. Color is also very important to me. I am currently working on a series of small textile pieces involving the broken square. I enjoy the challenge of working with a piece of existing furniture as a break from the work I usually do.
