Lori LathamI moved to Portland, OR in 1996 with a decade of experience as a decorative painter from the San Francisco Bay area. Searching for a different style of painting, my work eventually evolved to abstract landscapes. I still use many of the techniques and tools in the decorative painting field which gives my paintings their unique style. This is my first year to participate in the Chair Affair and I am taking this opportunity to get back to my roots as a decorative painter. I have used my gilding and faux finishing expertise on this really cool chair that was donated for the occasion and I am excited to share the finished results with the Portland Community.
