Andrea Schwartz-Feit
I live in the Columbia River Gorge and work out of my converted garage studio, ensconced in the wild beauty of the forest and river. My work is primarily encaustic painting, inspired by the forms, cycles, structure, color and forces of the natural world. My Zen practice exerts its influence on my daily life and work.
I also make figurative sculpture out of wax. My work is represented by Butters Gallery, where I will have my next exhibition in May 2010.
In addition to making art, I teach art classes to children through Saturday Academy and to adults in my own studio. |
