Anne Tileston
Award-winning artist Anne Tileston has been painting for almost 20 years. She enjoys drawing the human form, watercolors, and mixing it up with various media. Anne embraces the adage “write what you know” as it applies to her art. Much of her work deals with the inanity of daily activities and chores, expressed with humor and a dash of feminism. Sightings of her work have been reported from Oregon, New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, and London. Currently she has paintings on display in Long Beach, CA.
In the days when ketchup was a vegetable, Anne exercised her left brain as a Washington D.C. lobbyist and public health analyst. She previously flexed her right brain as a television director for OPB in the pre-cable era. Anne has a B.S. and M.S. in communications from the University of Oregon. Go Ducks!
Anne is a volunteer art instructor with Portland Public School’s Community Transition Center, teaching art to young adults with developmental disabilities.
