The Difference Furniture Can Make
We recently received a heartfelt letter in the mail from a client named Keith. The letter included a picture of his bed, which he described as “the most comfortable mattress and box springs I’ve ever slept on.”
Keith’s experience of moving into an unfurnished apartment is a challenge many neighbors can relate to while overcoming adversity. He describes: “While I was thankful to have a place to live, I was really kind of discouraged because I thought that I was going to be living in a bare apartment. I really appreciate having a place to live but it would have been dismal if you hadn’t helped me…Now, when I walk into the living room it seems very comfortable, cozy, and homey thanks to the furniture, lamps, pictures, and throw pillows you gave me. After I get out of bed, sometimes I just stand there and stare at it all in awe…I will be eternally grateful for what you did for me and making my life so much more decent than it would have been otherwise.”
