It’s been a little over a year since we unveiled our 2023-2026 Strategic Plan, and we’ve been hard at work! We want to take a moment to share some highlights of the progress we’ve made.

Broaden Community Awareness & Engagement

    • Hired a Communications Manager
    • Secured a nearly $1.6 million grant from the EPA for outreach and education (for which we will begin receiving funding in June)
  • Advocacy
    • Secured contract with Washington County
    • Secured $1 million in funding for Oregon furniture banks, thanks to the passing of Oregon Senate Bill 1530
  • Furniture Donations
    • Hired a Procurement Fleet Manager
  • Volunteerism
    • Began offering Saturday volunteer shifts
    • Began offering volunteer shifts at Gresham location
  • Fundraising
    • Hired Grants Manager
    • Launched Planned Giving campaign

  • Furniture Banks
    • Opened Community Warehouse+ in Gresham and working to expand operations to establish furniture bank
  • Estate Store
    • Maintaining online store
    • Assessing future plans for second location after Tualatin location flood
  • New Location/Expansion
    • Selling Tualatin Building and searching for new location in northwest Washington County. (We will continue to use the Tualatin building until we secure a new location.)
